Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026. This policy applies to Support14.com and its online customer-support services. It is written for a U.S.-based online service that may serve customers in other jurisdictions. A law mentioned below applies only when its legal scope and thresholds are met.
1. Scope and purpose
Support14.com provides an online support center where customers can create an account, submit support tickets, exchange messages with support personnel, review ticket status, and request password assistance. Because these functions require information that can identify an account holder, Support14.com treats privacy and security as core parts of the service. This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information collected, why information is used, how information may be disclosed, how long records may be retained, and choices that may be available to users. It applies to information collected through the website and related support functions, subject to any more specific agreement that lawfully governs a particular service.
2. Information collected during registration
When you create an account, Support14.com may collect your name, email address, password credentials in protected hashed form, account creation date, and account activity needed to operate the service. The service does not need to know your password in readable form. Passwords are intended to be processed with one-way password hashing. The email address is used for account identification, password recovery, ticket receipts, support responses, and important service communications. Customers should provide accurate information and should update it when necessary.
3. Information contained in tickets
When you submit a ticket, Support14.com may collect the ticket subject, selected priority, description, attachments if a future version enables attachments, replies, status changes, timestamps, and information needed to associate the ticket with your account. A ticket should contain only information reasonably necessary to explain the issue. Customers should not place passwords, payment-card numbers, authentication codes, private encryption keys, government identification numbers, or unnecessary health information in a support message.
4. Technical and security information
The service may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, date and time, session identifiers, security events, and basic device information. Such information may be used for authentication, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, rate limiting, system administration, abuse detection, incident response, and security monitoring. Technical records may also be needed to investigate unauthorized account access or attacks against the service.
5. Purposes for processing
Support14.com uses personal information to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; deliver requested support; communicate about tickets; send password-reset messages; maintain security; investigate suspected abuse; maintain backups; improve reliability; comply with legal duties; and enforce service rules. The service is designed around information reasonably connected to customer support rather than collecting information merely because it may be commercially interesting.
6. Legal bases for international users
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or another comparable privacy regime applies, Support14.com may process information because processing is necessary to perform a contract or take steps at a user’s request before entering a contract; because processing is necessary for legitimate interests such as security, service administration, and fraud prevention; because consent has been provided where consent is required; or because processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation. The correct legal basis depends on the activity, jurisdiction, and circumstances. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove a mandatory right granted by applicable law.
7. California and U.S. privacy rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing where applicable, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal treatment for exercising privacy rights. The California Attorney General describes these rights and related business obligations in its current consumer guidance. Support14.com is designed primarily as a support service and is not built around selling customer ticket information. If a practice changes in a way that triggers an applicable opt-out right, the site should provide the required mechanism.
8. Privacy requests and verification
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and you may have a right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. A request may require reasonable identity verification so information is not disclosed to an unauthorized person. California guidance explains that businesses covered by the CCPA must provide methods for certain requests and generally may not require a consumer to create an account merely to exercise a privacy right when the law says an account is unnecessary.
9. International transfers
Support14.com may rely on hosting, email delivery, security, backup, DNS, or other providers located in countries different from the country where a customer lives. Where a cross-border transfer is regulated, reasonable contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards will be considered, including mechanisms recognized under applicable law. Internet communications can travel through multiple countries, and customers should understand that global infrastructure may be involved in delivering support messages.
10. Service providers and disclosures
Information may be shared with vendors that help operate hosting, email delivery, security, backups, analytics if enabled, domain services, or other infrastructure. Providers should receive information reasonably necessary for their assigned function and may be subject to confidentiality and security obligations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order, subpoena, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, customers, or the public. Support14.com does not authorize vendors to use ticket information for unrelated purposes merely because the vendor processes data for the site.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
Support14.com may use essential session cookies so logged-in customers remain authenticated while moving between pages. Security tokens may also be used to protect forms from unauthorized cross-site requests. Optional analytics or preference technologies should be disclosed and, where legally required, enabled only after an appropriate consent choice. See the Cookie Policy for additional details. Users who disable essential cookies may lose access to login and ticket functions.
12. Security safeguards
Support14.com uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the service, including password hashing, session controls, access restrictions, protected storage directories, HTTPS where enabled by the hosting environment, form-protection tokens, and safeguards against common web attacks. No internet service can promise absolute security. Customers should use unique passwords, protect their email accounts, log out on shared devices, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
13. Retention
Account and ticket information may be retained while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support history, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backups, accounting, and recordkeeping. Retention periods can vary by record type and legal requirement. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, it may be deleted, anonymized, or securely disposed of, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention obligations. Deletion may not be immediate from every backup copy.
14. Children
Support14.com is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children who are too young to use an online service under applicable law. The U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act can impose special requirements on services directed to children under 13 or that knowingly collect personal information from them. Support14.com does not knowingly seek such information. Parents or guardians who believe a child provided information improperly may submit a support request so the situation can be reviewed.
15. Email communications
Support-related messages may include account assistance, password resets, ticket receipts, ticket updates, security notices, and responses. These messages may be necessary to provide the requested support service. If Support14.com later sends commercial email, applicable requirements such as accurate headers, non-deceptive subjects, a valid physical address, and an effective opt-out mechanism will be followed where required by the CAN-SPAM Act. The FTC explains these requirements in its business guidance.
16. Data minimization and customer responsibility
Customers help protect privacy by submitting only relevant information. If a support representative requests information, provide the minimum necessary to diagnose the problem and use secure channels when the service provides them. Never send a password in a ticket. Customers are responsible for protecting their devices, email accounts, and recovery methods. Support14.com cannot control information that a customer independently sends to another person or third-party website.
17. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the service, technology, or applicable legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised date. If a change materially affects how information is used, Support14.com may provide additional communication when appropriate. Continued use after an update is governed by applicable law and the updated policy.
18. Contact and privacy support
Privacy questions, account-related privacy requests, and requests involving personal information should be submitted through the Support14.com support center. The public website intentionally does not display the private administrative notification email used by the operator. Customers should identify the account involved without including a password or other authentication secret.
19. Lawful requests and legal process
Support14.com may receive requests from courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, or other authorized bodies. When a request is legally valid, information may be disclosed to the extent required or permitted by law. Where legally permitted and reasonably appropriate, the operator may seek to narrow an overbroad request or provide notice to an affected customer. Legal obligations can require preservation of records for a period longer than ordinary operational retention.
20. Security incidents
If Support14.com becomes aware of a security incident involving personal information, the operator will assess the event and follow applicable notification requirements. Depending on the facts and jurisdiction, laws may require notice to affected individuals, regulators, or other parties within specified timeframes. Customers should keep their account email current so important security communications can reach them.
21. Data accuracy
Customers may request correction of inaccurate account information where applicable. The service may maintain historical ticket messages because changing the history of a support conversation can interfere with the accuracy of a record. Where appropriate, a correction can be added to the account or ticket without rewriting historical communications.
22. Deletion limits
Deletion rights are subject to exceptions under applicable law. Records may need to be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, tax or accounting requirements, dispute resolution, contractual obligations, or other lawful purposes. Backups may also persist temporarily until they are rotated out through the normal backup lifecycle.
23. No sale of support records as a design objective
The Support14 support center is designed to facilitate customer service rather than create a marketplace for customer profiles. The operator should not sell customer support-ticket contents as a product. If future business practices introduce data monetization, the privacy policy and applicable consumer choices should be reviewed and updated before the practice begins.
24. Changes in ownership
If Support14.com or substantially all of its assets are transferred, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction when lawful and subject to applicable privacy requirements. Any successor should be expected to honor applicable legal obligations concerning information already collected. Material changes in ownership or processing purposes should be reflected in updated disclosures when required.
25. Contacting the operator through support
Because the public site does not display the operator’s private notification email, privacy questions should be submitted through the support center. A customer can identify a request as a privacy request and describe whether they are asking for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or another right. The operator may request verification before responding to a request involving personal information.
26. Policy interpretation
This Privacy Policy should be read together with the Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy. If a mandatory privacy law conflicts with a provision of this policy, the mandatory law controls to the extent of the conflict. The policy is intended to explain actual service practices and should be updated when the implementation changes materially.
27. Practical privacy expectations
Customers can help protect their information by using a unique password, keeping their account email secure, avoiding sensitive information in tickets, and reporting suspicious activity promptly. Support14.com can provide technical safeguards, but privacy also depends on the security of the customer’s device, browser, email account, and network.
