Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026. This policy applies to Support14.com and its online customer-support services. It is written for a U.S.-based online service that may serve customers in other jurisdictions. A law mentioned below applies only when its legal scope and thresholds are met.
1. Purpose
Support14.com is intended to help legitimate customers communicate with a support team. This Acceptable Use Policy protects customers, support personnel, hosting infrastructure, and the reliability of the service. It applies to account registration, ticket submission, replies, administrative functions, and any automated access that interacts with the site.
2. Permitted use
Customers may create an account, submit support requests, provide relevant information, respond to support replies, and review their own tickets. Organizations may allow authorized staff to use an account where permitted by their internal policies. Customers may use normal browser and assistive-technology features to access the service.
3. Prohibited activities
You may not use Support14.com to send malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing messages, fraudulent offers, unlawful threats, harassment, or content intended to compromise another system. You may not use the service to distribute spam, facilitate credential theft, impersonate another person, conduct unlawful surveillance, or promote a criminal scheme. You may not intentionally submit false reports designed to waste support resources.
4. Security testing
Do not scan, probe, exploit, brute-force, or attempt to bypass authentication on Support14.com without explicit written authorization. Security research should be coordinated through an appropriate support channel before testing. This rule does not restrict legally protected security research where applicable law provides a non-waivable right, but it does prohibit unauthorized interference with the service.
5. Account abuse
Do not create large numbers of accounts for testing, evasion, fraud, or resource exhaustion. Do not share passwords in public channels or deliberately allow another person to access an account when doing so would violate an applicable agreement. If you are responsible for an organizational account, take reasonable steps to remove access when an employee or contractor no longer needs it.
6. Sensitive information
Support tickets should contain only information necessary to diagnose or resolve the issue. Do not submit full credit-card numbers, passwords, one-time authentication codes, private encryption keys, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, or medical records unless a separate support process expressly requests such information. Minimizing sensitive data reduces security and privacy risk.
7. Intellectual property
Do not use tickets to distribute copyrighted material, trade secrets, confidential business information belonging to someone else, or content that infringes trademarks, patents, copyrights, privacy rights, or publicity rights. If you submit material you own, you give Support14.com only the limited operational permission needed to store and process it for support.
8. Communications
Support communications must remain relevant to customer service. Commercial email sent by or for a business may be subject to CAN-SPAM and other laws. The FTC states that commercial email must use accurate header information and non-deceptive subject lines and provide a practical opt-out mechanism. Service messages are not intended to become a channel for unsolicited advertising.
9. Accessibility and respectful communication
Support14.com aims to provide an accessible service and respectful customer experience. Customers should not target support personnel with threats, discriminatory abuse, or repeated communications intended to disrupt operations. The U.S. Department of Justice has emphasized the importance of accessible web content for equal access to information and services. Customers using accessibility tools are welcome to use reasonable assistive technology to interact with the service.
10. Automated use
Automated scripts may not create large numbers of accounts, submit bulk tickets, scrape customer information, consume disproportionate resources, or evade rate limits. Legitimate assistive technology and reasonable accessibility tools are not prohibited merely because they automate an interaction. Authorized integrations must respect authentication, rate limits, privacy requirements, and the intended purpose of the service.
11. Enforcement
Support14.com may investigate suspected violations and may temporarily restrict an account, ticket, or IP address when reasonably necessary to protect the service. Where appropriate, the operator may preserve evidence, contact affected parties, or report unlawful activity to competent authorities. Enforcement decisions should consider the available facts and the need to prevent further harm.
12. Appeals and mistakes
If you believe an account restriction was made in error, submit a support request explaining the relevant facts. Support14.com may review the situation and restore access where appropriate. Nothing in this policy creates an obligation to restore access when a restriction is required for security, law, or protection of another user. Customers should not create a second account solely to bypass a restriction.
13. International standards
Customers outside the United States must comply with local laws governing communications, privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection, and online conduct. International frameworks such as the GDPR and UK GDPR may impose additional requirements on processing personal data; those rules are addressed more fully in the Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove mandatory rights.
14. Data protection
Support14.com will use reasonable security measures and limit internal access to customer support information according to operational need. No policy can eliminate all cyber risk, and customers remain responsible for securing their own devices and email accounts. Customers should promptly report suspected account compromise so protective measures can be considered.
15. Updates and contact
This policy may be updated as threats, technology, or laws change. The current version is posted on this page. Questions about acceptable use should be submitted through the Support14.com support center. Please include enough context to identify the relevant account or ticket without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
16. Fraud and impersonation
Customers may not use Support14.com to impersonate another customer, company, employee, government official, or support representative. Fraudulent requests designed to obtain account access, refunds, confidential information, or unauthorized services are prohibited. If identity or authority is uncertain, support personnel may request additional verification.
17. Phishing and credential theft
Tickets may not be used to collect passwords, one-time codes, recovery keys, or other authentication secrets from another person. A customer who receives a suspicious message should not click unknown links or provide credentials. Support14.com may preserve and investigate suspected phishing content and may restrict accounts involved in credential theft.
18. Malware and harmful files
Do not intentionally upload or distribute malicious code through any support feature. If attachments are enabled in a future version, they may be subject to security scanning and size restrictions. Legitimate diagnostic files should be shared only when necessary and through a feature specifically intended to receive them.
19. Harassment and abuse
Customers may disagree with a support decision or express frustration, but threats, targeted harassment, repeated abusive communications, discriminatory slurs, and attempts to intimidate staff are not acceptable. A customer’s legitimate complaint remains valid even when staff need to limit abusive behavior. Reasonable moderation should distinguish criticism from prohibited conduct.
20. Privacy abuse
Do not use the support center to publish another person’s private information, doxxing material, confidential records, or personal contact information without a lawful and legitimate purpose. Customers should use the minimum information needed to resolve a support issue.
21. Circumvention
Do not attempt to evade security controls by rotating accounts, IP addresses, credentials, or devices after a restriction. Circumvention can make an incident more serious and may result in additional protective measures. If a legitimate customer is blocked incorrectly, the correct approach is to request review.
22. Resource use
The support center is designed for ordinary human customer-support traffic. Automated activity that creates excessive requests, consumes server resources, or interferes with other customers can be limited. Reasonable accessibility tools and ordinary browser automation used by a customer for their own access are not automatically prohibited.
23. Reporting abuse
Customers can report suspicious activity by submitting a support ticket. Reports should include relevant facts, dates, ticket numbers, and links when available. Do not retaliate against an alleged abuser or attempt to investigate by accessing systems you do not own.
24. Cooperation with investigations
Support14.com may preserve relevant account and technical information when reasonably necessary to investigate security incidents, fraud, abuse, or legal disputes. Information may be disclosed when required or permitted by law. Customers should not attempt to destroy or alter evidence related to an active security or legal investigation.
25. Relationship to other policies
This policy works together with the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, and Accessibility Statement. Where a mandatory privacy, accessibility, consumer-protection, or other law provides a right that conflicts with a restrictive statement in this policy, the mandatory law controls to the extent required.
26. Prohibited financial and deceptive activity
Customers may not use the service to run fraudulent payment schemes, solicit money through false claims, distribute deceptive investment promotions, or misrepresent an affiliation with Support14.com. A support ticket should not be used as a channel for unrelated sales campaigns or mass outreach.
27. Child safety
The service should not be used to target children with inappropriate material, solicit personal information from minors for unlawful purposes, or bypass parental controls. Where child-protection laws apply, the operator will consider the requirements relevant to the actual service and audience.
28. Lawful government requests
Support14.com may respond to valid legal process. Customers should not use the service to interfere with an investigation or to conceal unlawful activity. When legally permitted, the operator may challenge requests that appear overbroad, but the operator cannot promise advance notice in every circumstance.
29. Preservation of records
Relevant account and ticket information may be preserved when reasonably necessary for security investigations, dispute resolution, legal claims, or compliance. Preservation does not mean information will be publicly disclosed. Access remains subject to operational need and applicable law.
30. Relationship to privacy rights
This Acceptable Use Policy does not override privacy rights. Customers may exercise applicable privacy rights even when their account has been restricted, although reasonable verification and legal exceptions may apply. The Privacy Policy describes the available privacy process in more detail.
31. Policy interpretation
This policy should be interpreted in a way that protects the support service while respecting lawful customer activity, accessibility rights, privacy rights, and mandatory consumer protections. If a provision is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions should remain effective to the extent allowed by law.
37. Fair use of support resources
Support resources are shared among customers. Customers should avoid repeatedly opening duplicate tickets for the same issue unless a new ticket is specifically needed. If a previous ticket remains open, replying to it normally preserves context and can help reduce duplicate work. Support14.com may merge or close duplicate requests when doing so does not deprive a customer of meaningful support.
38. Accuracy of reports
Customers should make reasonable efforts to describe problems truthfully. Deliberately fabricated reports, false security claims, or intentionally misleading information can waste resources and interfere with legitimate customers. Honest mistakes are not treated the same as intentional deception; customers should correct inaccurate information when they discover it.
39. Responsible disclosure
If you discover a potential security weakness, report it through the support center rather than attempting to exploit it against another customer or against production systems. A responsible report should explain the observed behavior, affected page, and reasonable reproduction steps without exposing other customers’ information.
40. Final application
This policy is intended to provide practical rules for safe and respectful use. It does not create a private right of action for every policy violation and does not reduce mandatory legal rights. Support14.com may use reasonable judgment when responding to circumstances not specifically described here, while taking applicable law and customer rights into account.
41. Practical cooperation
Good-faith customers can help keep the support center reliable by using one account, keeping contact information current, providing useful technical details, and replying to follow-up questions when needed. These ordinary practices help the support team spend time solving customer problems rather than addressing avoidable account or abuse issues. The policy is intended to support that cooperative relationship while preserving the operator’s ability to respond to security and legal concerns.
